Medieval wooden spoon

We made this medieval wooden spoon from a piece of olive wood using only traditional hand tools.
Design style of this medieval wooden spoon was popular in the 15th century and usually was made of pewter. Before the 15th century the spoons were made from wood or cow horn. This medieval spoon is really small and it would be perfect for a lighter use, such as eating since the handle is relatively thin.It was finished with two coats of olive oil.

The overall length of the spoon is 145 mm.
The bowl has a width 43 mm while the length is 65 mm.
The handle is 80 mm long.

Care instructions:
Rub your spoon with olive oil, peanut or sunflower oil once a month. Dip a paper towel into the oil and gently rub, using a circular motion over the surface of the wood. Work the oil into the sides, top and bottom. When washing the spoon use water and a little bit of soap (don’t use the dishwasher) and after the washing is done rub the spoon with a towel to avoid moisture entering the wood and avoid cracking.
