|Dimensions||222 × 35 mm|
This medium sized wooden bowl was hand carved entirely by hands using only traditional hand tools. The bowl would be ideal for holding small objects or it could be used for eating. On the bowl handle appeard some minor cracks as shown in the picture but that cracks won't affect in anyway the structure of the bowl.
It was made from a piece of green olive tree ( Phillyrea latifolia, not acutally the common olive tree…) it has has a knife finish, it was burnished and for the finish we applied one coat of tung oil. At it's maximum it can hold 400ml of water.
The bowl is 222mm long while the depth is 35mm.
Rub your bowl with olive, peanut or sunflower oil once a month.
Dip a paper towel into the oil and gently rub, using a circular motion over the surface of the wood.
Work the oil into the sides, top and bottom. When washing the bowl use water and a little bit of soap ( don't use the dishwasher ) and after the washing is done rub the bowl with a towel to avoid moisture entering the wood and avoid cracking.
