|Dimensions||190 x 60 mm|
This unique looking scoop was hand carved entirely by hands useing only traditional hand tools and it resembles a fig. The scoop is ideal for bath salts, caffee, flour or anything that you can immagine where you need to scoop something or it could be used like a small serving spoon.
The scoop was made from a piece of green olive tree ( Phillyrea latifolia, not acutally the common olive tree…) it has has a knife finish, it was burnished and for the finish we applied one coat of olive oil.
It can hold at its maximum 36ml of water.
The scoop is 190mm long while the bowl is 60mm wide and 95mm long.
Rub your scoop with olive, peanut or sunflower oil once a month.
Dip a paper towel into the oil and gently rub, using a circular motion over the surface of the wood.
Work the oil into the sides, top and bottom. When washing the scoop use water and a little bit of soap ( don’t use the dishwasher ) and after the washing is done rub the spoon with a towel to avoid moisture entering the wood and avoid cracking.
